Metal scrap imports and PSIC exemption
DGFT Public Notice No. 35/2026-27 dated 21 October 2026 describes a conditional PSIC exemption for eligible metallic waste and scrap imported from designated safe countries, including the UK. Please provide the goods or material, supplier name and location, estimated quantity, destination country, preferred inspection date, decision deadline and the checks you need. If you are importing metallic scrap into India, also tell us the proposed port of entry and any supplier certificate or testing arrangements already in place.
